One of the main problems of making models of animals is ensuring
they keep still. Even well trained pets will turn their heads towards the camera as the photographer
moves the camera to take the second photograph.
To create this 3D model, the two photographs were taken simultaneously. This was done by
mounting the cameras side by side on a dual camera mount on a tripod, and then releasing
the shutters simultaneously.
See the 'Better Models' section under Information, for advice on making models of moving subjects.
